Diane’s new blog – Jet Blue-in’ It

What exactly are the airlines doing to their flight staff?

Multiple theories abound about why stewardesses have replaced nuns in Catholic schools from the 1970’s as the forbidding people standing over you when you just want to go to the bathroom. The general attitude of the flying staff has gotten markedly and consistently harsher over the past decade, seemingly in direct relationship to their jobs becoming more militant. We’ve heard about the pay cuts, the longer hours, the shorter turnarounds for pilots and crew members. Which is enough to ruin morale for any employee.

New Review of Cherry

Angelina starts cocktail-waitressing at a lap-dancing bar where she meets Frances (Franco), who has sold his artistic soul to become a lawyer. She also signs on with an adult film company where everyone is super-friendly and supportive — it’s just like Whole Foods! Adopting the screen name Cherry, she gets lucky with dream director Margaret (Heather Graham) on her first solo shoot. That experience is so easy-breezy she soon graduates to girl-on-girl, fetish and guy action.
The conflicts, such as they are, arise outside the workplace. Oblivious to the doe-eyed glances poor Andrew has been shooting her since the start of the movie, Angelina has an icky reaction when she comes home and finds him watching her online in a sexy cop uniform, as she uses her truncheon on a naughty girl prisoner. And at the same time that cokehead Frances is expressing his disgust with her line of work, Margaret’s girlfriend of eight years (Diane Farr) suddenly develops issues about her profession. Guess where the two misunderstood ladies turn for comfort?

Collision Earth to air on SyFy Jan 14th!

Syfy is kicking off the New Year by threatening the end of all life on Earth with the Saturday Original Movies Collision Earth, starring Kirk Acevedo (“Fringe”) and Diane Farr (“Californication”), and Swamp Volcano, starring Rachel Hunter (The Benchwarmers) and Brad Dourif (Lord of the Rings). Of course we have a few sneak peeks of each!

Foy previously brought Collision Earth to our attention, and now we have a few more details. In the flick, which premieres Saturday, January 14, at 9:00 PM (ET/PT), a solar flare knocks Mercury out of its orbit and onto a collision course with Earth. With global devastation quickly approaching, the secret military initiative, “Project 7,” must be activated to save the world from disaster. The movie is a production of Cinetel Films.

Diane to guest star on The Mentalist

Diane Farr can check another CBS procedural off her to-do list.
The Numb3rs vet, who guest starred on CSI: Miami in October, will appear in an upcoming Season 4 episode of The Mentalist, TVLine has learned exclusively.
Farr will play Amy Barron, a Type-A, business-minded owner of a small winery in North California. Joining the actress in the outing are Bonnie Somerville (Cashmere Mafia, NYPD Blue) as Amy’s friend/business partner, who is accused of murder, and Kathryn Joosten (Desperate Housewives) as the murder victim’s neighbor.
True Blood‘s James Frain rounds out the crowded guest cast.
The episode is slated to air during February sweeps.
